How to find people interested in sharing information?

How do you go about finding people who have a passion in life and are willing to share their knowledge about it? I love to learn and would like to find some people (outside of school) who are willing to share knowledge. How does one go about doing this?|||Look for groups on the Internet or classifieds. Go to Barnes and Noble or Borders and ask them. Sometimes they have boards with different groups. Go to a local college and check out the boards there. There are TONS of groups that post stuff all the time at colleges and universities. Check out the library. Depending on what your passion is, go to different stores that sell things associated with your passion (rock climbing=REI). There are lots of ways to do this, you just have to be proactive.|||In real life, it might not be that easy to find people who are willing to share their knowledge because this is a very competitive world. In school, your class mates don't want to help because they want to get ahead of you, in work the competition is more severe because it means promotion and higher salary.

The best way is to join interest groups, non profit organizations where participants all share the same values and interests. People who know you're as passionate as they are in the same thing will teach you everything.
